National University extended its dynasty, sweeping Far Eastern University 26-24, 25-22, 25-22 in Game 2 to complete a **six-peat** and claim the UAAP Season 88 Collegiate Men’s Volleyball crown on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

In front of a packed crowd of 11,526, the Bulldogs overcame a tough elimination round to string together three straight playoff wins and secure their sixth consecutive title since Season 80 (2018). The championship also marked NU’s eighth title overall.

“Sobrang happy talaga kami dahil nakuha namin ‘yung six-peat,” said NU head coach Dante Alinsunurin. “Hindi namin inasahan na makukuha namin ito kasi nag-struggle kami sa eliminations. Sobrang thankful ako sa players ko at sa lahat ng sumuporta sa amin.”

Leo Ordiales was named Finals MVP after delivering a monster performance with **24 points** in Game 2, including a game-changing 4-0 run in the third set. The 6-foot-6 opposite hitter also led NU in Game 1 with 22 points.

Jade Disquitado added 13 points, while Michaelo Buddin and captain Peng Taguibolos provided crucial support. Middle blocker Obed Mukaba delivered the championship-clinching kill.

Despite finishing as the top seed in the eliminations, FEU settled for silver for the second straight year. All three of their losses this season came against NU.

Mikko Espartero led the Tamaraws with 17 points, while Amet Bituin and Dryx Saavedra tried to spark a comeback. Best Setter Ariel Cacao also had a solid outing, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Bulldogs’ charge.

With the sweep, NU has now won eight of the last 11 UAAP titles, cementing their place as the premier program in collegiate men’s volleyball.
