Converge taps Clark after Thibodeaux fails import measurement

Converge has turned to veteran import Cameron Clark after Travin Thibodeaux failed to secure clearance to play in the 2026 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup.

Thibodeaux, the reigning IBL Finals MVP, measured 6-foot-6 1/4 during Saturday’s official height measurement, exceeding the conference’s 6-foot-6 import limit by just a quarter of an inch.

With Thibodeaux ruled ineligible, the FiberXers brought in Clark as his replacement and as the new reinforcement for Jamaal Franklin.

The 6-foot-6 Clark will be making his fourth PBA stint, having previously played for NLEX and San Miguel.

Clark first entered the league during the 2021 Governors’ Cup as a replacement import for the Road Warriors, taking over from KJ McDaniels. He returned in 2023 to suit up for the Beermen.

His latest international assignment came with Hong Kong Eastern, where he served as import during the 2024-25 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Converge currently holds a 3-4 record in Group A and is looking to end a four-game losing streak.

The FiberXers will face Terrafirma on Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
