For the third time in five seasons, Ginebra stars dominated the individual accolades in a conference, as RJ Abarrientos and Justin Brownlee were named the top performers of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Commissioner's Cup.

The 26-year-old Abarrientos earned his first Best Player of the Conference (BPC) award, while naturalized forward Brownlee captured his fourth Best Import title, as the Kings were officially crowned champions ahead of Game 4 of the Finals at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Abarrientos’ recognition came after a stellar semifinal run against Rain or Shine, where he averaged 22.0 points on 49.7% shooting, along with 3.67 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. His standout performances were pivotal in helping Ginebra close the series in six games.

The guard peaked in the final two games, delivering 31 points in Game 5 for a 111–104 win and following it up with 30 points in the 118–107 series-clinching Game 6, securing Ginebra’s Finals spot.

By the end of the semifinals, Abarrientos ranked third in statistical points with 37.2 SPs, behind early frontrunners Robert Bolick and June Mar Fajardo, whose campaigns were hampered by early quarterfinal exits. He amassed a total of 1,147 points from stats and votes, surpassing Bolick (804) and Fajardo (573), as well as Ricci Rivero (431) and Jerrick Ahanmisi (421).

With this award, Abarrientos joins his uncle Johnny as a BPC winner, but achieved the milestone faster, claiming it in only his sophomore season, whereas Johnny “Flying A” Abarrientos needed four seasons to secure his first of two BPC trophies.

Brownlee, at 38, became the oldest player to win Best Import and now stands second all-time for the most Best Import awards, behind the late Bobby Parks Sr., the award’s namesake. Already tied for the most PBA championships with six, Brownlee earned the honor after another strong semifinal showing, edging out a challenge from Rain or Shine’s Jaylen Johnson.

Johnson had a remarkable start, including a 40-point, 19-rebound explosion in Game 1, but struggled with consistency in subsequent games. Brownlee, however, maintained his high-level performance, guiding Ginebra back to the Finals.

The 38-year-old surpassed Johnson, Tropang 5G’s Chris McCullough, and Meralco’s Patrick Gardner in the voting. McCullough and Gardner became eligible after Bol Bol and Marvin Jones were disqualified—Bol due to an Achilles injury and Jones after an underwhelming Game 3.

Brownlee led all imports in statistical points during the semifinals with 50.5 SPs, averaging 29.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.67 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. He finished with a total of 1,284 points from stats and votes, ahead of Johnson (888), McCullough (690), and Gardner (534).
