The fight for Top Four positioning heats up this Sunday in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Commissioner's Cup eliminations, as Rain or Shine, Ginebra, and Meralco take center stage at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

The day begins at 5:15 p.m. with fourth-placed Meralco (6–3) taking on eliminated Blackwater. The spotlight, however, will be on the 7:30 p.m. showdown between the Elasto Painters (8–2) and the Kings (7–3), two teams eager to bounce back from recent losses.

Rain or Shine is coming off a heartbreaker against NLEX, falling 92–90 on a last-second JB Bahio jumper. After a strong 7–0 start, the Bolts now sit at second place, having dropped two of their last three games. NLEX, meanwhile, has seized the league lead after a commanding 100–81 victory over Converge, also securing a win-once quarterfinal incentive.

If the Elasto Painters stumble, NLEX could virtually lock up the top seed heading into the playoffs, having already bested both Rain or Shine and Ginebra earlier in the conference. However, Coach Yeng Guiao’s squad is determined to hit nine wins and secure a twice-to-beat advantage, ensuring a smoother path to the semifinals.

Ginebra, on the other hand, is looking for redemption after Meralco ended its five-game winning streak last Friday. Coach Tim Cone’s team also aims to protect its twice-to-beat hopes, currently sitting third. Sportsbook labels the matchup a virtual coin flip, with Ginebra as a +1.5 underdog and the over/under set at 210.0.

Meanwhile, Meralco seeks to maintain momentum and climb further in the standings. The Bolts face a struggling Blackwater squad, still reeling from injuries—including uncertainty around Robert Upshaw III—and a tough loss to Macau. Despite the opponent’s challenges, Meralco is focused on staying sharp, building off their recent win over Ginebra.

The Bolts enter as heavy favorites, listed at -15.0, with the over/under set at 215.0.
