Warriors Plan Porziņģis Comeback vs. Bulls After Sitting Out vs. Jazz
On March 8, in the NBA regular season, the Oklahoma City Thunder edged the Golden State Warriors 104-97 to extend their winning streak to five games.
Following the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced that Kristaps Porziņģis will not play in Tuesday’s game against the Utah Jazz.
Instead, the Warriors plan to have him make his return on Wednesday when they host the Chicago Bulls.
Porziņģis, who missed the previous six games due to illness, was cleared to play in Friday’s game against the Thunder. In 23 minutes of action, he finished with 9 points on 3-of-10 shooting, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 block.
Since Porziņģis has not fully recovered from his illness, Kerr and the Warriors will continue to take a cautious approach in managing his minutes.
