The Pasay Voyagers got back on the winning track after pulling away late for an 89-84 victory over the Bulacan Kuyas on Wednesday in the 2026 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) season at the Pasay Astrodome.

Locked in a 77-75 deficit, Pasay responded with an 11-2 surge fueled by five points from Steve Nash Enriquez and timely three-pointers from Christian Fajarito and Rence Alcoriza to grab an 86-79 cushion with 2:40 left.

Bulacan cut the gap on an old-fashioned three-point play by Airohn Acop, but the Voyagers stayed composed down the stretch as Enriquez knocked down three clutch free throws to ice the game and lift Pasay to a 10-10 record in the round-robin elimination phase.

Alcoriza led the Voyagers with 20 points, including four triples, and added three assists to earn Best Player of the Game honors. Fajarito posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds while contributing three steals and two assists. Enriquez chipped in 11 points and four assists, while Lennard Santiago finished with 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

The Kuyas slipped to 4-12 despite a strong outing from Acop, who tallied 19 points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Mart James Barrera added 13 points, four assists, and three rebounds, while William Sy Jr. contributed 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

In the second game, the Quezon City Black Bulls bolstered their playoff bid with a dominant 122-68 rout of the Manila Batang Quiapo to improve to 8-9.

MJ Joson spearheaded the blowout with a triple-double of 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, along with two steals, to earn Best Player of the Game honors. Kenz Rei Diokno scored 20 points while adding four assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Clark Derige finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists, Kobe Monje contributed 13 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and Gab Salazar chipped in 11 as Quezon City dominated from start to finish.

Manila fell to 2-15 despite 12 points from John Matthew Sibug, 11 from Ivan Salinel, and 10 points each from Jed Salaveria and Redgimir Eusebio.

The MPBL shifts to the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City on Thursday, with Batangas taking on Basilan at 5 p.m. before host Cebu faces Biñan at 7 p.m.
