The Pasay Voyagers and Cebu Greats kept pace with the league-leading Quezon City Black Bulls as they posted convincing victories on Friday at the One Arena Cainta in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 2026 Season.

Pasay cruised past Sarangani 10ACT, 75-58, while the Cebu Greats rallied to defeat Imus Yangkee, 91-77. With the wins, both teams improved to **4-2**, joining Quezon City atop the standings in the round-robin elimination phase of the 28-team tournament.

For Cebu, 48-year-old veteran Dondon Hontiveros delivered a vintage performance, knocking down six three-pointers for 18 points and adding three assists to earn Best Player honors. High-flying import Mark Meneses contributed 16 points, six rebounds, three steals, three blocks, and two assists, complete with highlight-reel dunks.

Hontiveros also made history as he shared the court with his son, Ice, in the fourth quarter — becoming only the second father-son duo to play together in MPBL history.

Wowie Escosio (12 points, 8 rebounds), Paul Desiderio (11 points), and Simon Camacho (11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists) provided strong support as Cebu erased a halftime deficit with a decisive 19-1 third-quarter run.

For Pasay, Cyril Gonzales led the way with 15 points, while Brian Hilario added 14 points and five rebounds, and Steve Nash Enriquez contributed 10 points and 11 assists.

The victories keep the Voyagers and Greats firmly in the hunt as the MPBL elimination round continues.
