PVL: Vanie Gandler keeps team-first mindset in Cignal bounce-back vs ZUS Coffee

The Cignal Super Spikers defeated the ZUSCoffee Thunderbelles in straight sets (25-18, 25-23, 25-22) in a 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference match on March 5 at the FilOil Centre in San Juan. This victory, coming after a tough five-set loss to the Akari Chargers, secured Cignal's fifth conference win and kept them at the top of the standings.

Vanie Gandler led Cignal's charge with a standout performance, scoring 20 points and contributing 13 excellent receptions on defense. Roselyn Doria-Aquino supported with 11 points, while Erika Santos and Jackie Acuna added nine and eight points respectively.

Despite her strong individual showing, Gandler emphasized the team's collective focus on continuous improvement over individual roles. She stated the team remains aggressive and works to learn from mistakes, acknowledging that no team is safe in the tightly contested conference despite their strong start.
