PBA: Legends Miller, de Ocampo, Pingris, Santos to join youngsters in RSJ game

The PBAAll-Star festivities in Candon City, Ilocos Sur, will feature a special twist in the Rookies/Sophomores vs Juniors game on Friday, March 6. Four PBA legends have been added to the teams to enhance the event. Former MVPs Willie Miller and Arwind Santos will join the Rookies/Sophomores team, while Gilas Pilipinas heroes Ranidel de Ocampo and Marc Pingris will bolster the Juniors squad.

Willie Miller, now an assistant coach for Converge, expressed excitement about playing alongside the younger stars, noting the role reversal from his own playing days. He stated that he and the other veterans now see themselves as guides or assistant coaches on the court for the younger players during the game.

Ranidel de Ocampo, whose jersey was recently retired by TNT, echoed the sentiment of excitement and emphasized the group's enduring competitive spirit. He clarified that while their participation aims to entertain fans and add excitement, they remain as competitive as ever, and they are doing this for the love of the PBA.

The Rookies/Sophomores vs Juniors game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM on March 6 at the Candon City Arena.
