La Salle and UP headline UAAP contingent in NSAC quarterfinals

Six UAAP teams advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asiabasket National Student-Athletes Championship after dominating the elimination round on Sunday at the UP Varsity Training Center.

**De La Salle University** and **University of the Philippines** led the charge with commanding victories. UP cruised past Adamson, 87-60, behind Veejay Pre’s near-perfect 27-point performance (92.3% shooting) and eight rebounds. Sean Alter added 15 points and eight boards.

La Salle defeated NCAA side CSB, 76-66, with Luis Pablo posting 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Jcee Macalalag contributed 13 points.

Joining them in the quarterfinals are Far Eastern University, Ateneo de Manila University, National University, and University of Santo Tomas.

**Quarterfinal Matchups (May 23 at Enrique M. Razon Sports Center):**

- La Salle vs. FEU

- UP vs. NU

- Ateneo vs. UST

- San Beda vs. Letran

On the NCAA side, defending champion San Beda and Letran also advanced to the quarters.

Adamson and the other eliminated teams will now compete in the classification phase.
