Kentucky Basketball's coaching staff, led by Mark Pope, is actively recruiting GLeague guard Dink Pate, who is considering a move to college basketball for the 2026 season. The staff is scheduled to have a Zoom meeting with Pate in the coming week, following an in-person evaluation by Pope during Pate's games with the Westchester Knicks.

Pate, a 6-foot-7 point guard, has Publicly expressed a strong interest in Kentucky, stating, "If UK likes me, that’s where I want to go." He has a pre-existing connection to the program through Kentucky assistant coach Jason Hart, who coached him during the 2023-24 season with the NBAGLeague Ignite, where Pate made history as the youngest professional basketball player in the U.S.

In his current season with the Westchester Knicks, Pate has demonstrated his skills across 27 games, averaging 16.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists, while shooting 37.7 percent from three-point range, marking him as a significant prospect for the Wildcats' future roster.
