Gilas Pilipinas Girls maintained their flawless start in the 2026 FIBA Under-18 Women’s Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers, claiming a commanding 86-48 victory over Thailand on Thursday at the STI West Negros University Gym in Bacolod. This win marked their third straight triumph in the tournament.

The Filipinas have been impressive throughout, opening their campaign with a 93-42 blowout of Vietnam, followed by an 83-53 win against Singapore.

For the third consecutive game, every Gilas player contributed to the scoreboard. Lea Pinuela led the team with 16 points on 50-percent shooting, adding five rebounds and two assists. Ruiza Olomos was perfect from the field, going 5-of-5 for 11 points in just 13 minutes of action. Tiffany Reyes and Zia Oñate chipped in nine points each, with Oñate also recording five assists and three rebounds.

Sophia Dignadice posted eight points and eight assists, Zaydhen Rosano added seven points, and Rhiane Perez contributed six points along with 10 rebounds.

Unlike their first two games, Gilas set the tone from the opening tip, surging to a 14-2 start and finishing the first quarter with a 20-6 lead. The team tightened its defensive grip in the third quarter, holding Thailand to just nine points and extending the lead to 67-33 heading into the final period.

Thailand was unable to produce a double-digit scorer, falling to 0-2 and remaining tied with Singapore at the bottom of the standings. Kanyaphat Hookee and Paweetida Chanasimma led Thailand with nine points apiece.

Gilas will have a rest day before facing undefeated Indonesia on Saturday in a pivotal matchup that could determine the tournament leader.

Earlier on Thursday, Indonesia dominated Vietnam, 81-32, improving to 2-0. Richelle Widjaja led the Indonesians with 14 points, while Mabekou Talla Valerie recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Praisey Blessed also had a strong all-around performance with eight points, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Vietnam fell to 1-2 following the defeat.
