The Cebu Greats continued their strong run in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 2026 Season after defeating the Pasay Voyagers, 92-82, on Tuesday at the Pasay Astrodome.

Cebu dominated from beyond the arc, converting 12 of 22 three-point attempts (54.5%) compared to Pasay’s 8-of-29 (27.6%). Legendary Cebuano Dondon Hontiveros led the way from deep, knocking down three of his four attempts from beyond the arc.

The Greats built a commanding 63-40 lead in the third quarter behind a three-pointer by Mark Meneses and maintained control for the remainder of the game. The win marked Cebu’s third straight victory, improving their record to 10-3.

Meneses, a key recruit from the University of Luzon, delivered a well-rounded performance with 19 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks to earn Best Player of the Game honors. Ichie Altamirano added 11 points, while Hontiveros contributed 10 points and four rebounds. Simon Camacho rounded out the effort with seven points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks.

With the win, Cebu moved into a tie for fourth place in the South Division, behind Batangas, General Santos, and Quezon Province.
