The 53-point margin was the largest of the season for any team in the competition, as East Perth’s high-octane offence dismantled a helpless Slammers defence from the opening whistle.

Blowout from the Start

East Perth set the tone immediately, racing to a 32–14 lead after the first quarter. The onslaught continued in the second period as the Eagles added a further 29 points, taking a 61–26 advantage into halftime. Any hopes of a South West comeback were extinguished in the third quarter, which East Perth won 28–14. The final quarter was played mostly by reserves, with the Eagles still outscoring the home side 21–17.

Dominant Offensive Display

The Eagles shot an eye-catching 58% from the field, including 12-of-22 from three-point range. Four East Perth players reached double figures: the power forward led all scorers with 27 points (10-of-13 shooting), the point guard dished 15 assists alongside 14 points, and two wings added 19 and 16 points respectively. The Slammers were led by their shooting guard’s 18 points, but they committed 23 turnovers and allowed 38 points in the paint.
