He emphasized that the Champions League is Real Madrid's competition, where they display a clear purpose and determination that is often missing in La Liga.

Mijatovic elaborated on the contrast between the two versions of the team. He noted that while Madrid has been irregular in the league, they transform on European nights. He suggested the team needs to show more desire in domestic matches and viewed the upcoming game against Atlético Madrid as an opportunity to prove they are competing for everything.

Regarding the specific tie against ManchesterCity, Mijatovic admitted he never felt the match was in danger, observing a strong sense of security in the team as the game progressed. He highlighted Vinícius Jr. and Federico Valverde as decisive players, praising Valverde's performance in the first leg and Vinícius's in the second.

While criticizing Vinícius Jr.'s goal celebrations, Mijatovic otherwise gave the Brazilian a perfect rating, describing him as a very complete player who is still going to improve further.
