Dyip look to keep rolling as Giant Pandas seek revenge

Terrafirma aims to extend its winning streak when it faces Macau in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Governors' Cup on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Group A matchup tips off at 5:15 p.m., with the Dyip looking to build on their dramatic 111-106 overtime victory over defending champion TNT last Saturday.

That breakthrough win improved Terrafirma to 2-3 after dropping three straight games following its opening-day triumph over Titan Ultra. Now back on track, head coach Ronald Tubid and his squad hope to string together consecutive victories and strengthen their position in the tightly contested Group A standings.

Macau, however, enters the contest with renewed confidence after finally breaking into the win column.

The Giant Pandas snapped a four-game losing streak by rallying past Titan Ultra, 132-126, behind a huge performance from Ramon Cao, who scored 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Cao dominated the closing minutes, scoring 11 of Macau's final 13 points to complete the comeback.

Macau also welcomed back Jenning Leung, one of its top performers during the Commissioner's Cup, and the Laguna native immediately made an impact with 22 points and seven assists in his return.

The visitors will also be motivated by revenge after absorbing a convincing 102-84 defeat to Terrafirma during the previous conference.

According to Tiger Score sportsbook, Terrafirma enters the game as the favorite with 1.65 moneyline odds, while Macau is listed at 2.11.

Meanwhile, San Miguel Beer and Titan Ultra square off in the 7:30 p.m. nightcap in another key Group A encounter.

Titan Ultra looks to bounce back after squandering a 19-point lead in a 132-126 loss to Macau, ending the momentum it gained from its upset victory over TNT.

San Miguel, meanwhile, is also seeking redemption after suffering its first defeat of the conference, a 110-96 loss to unbeaten NLEX that dropped the Beermen to 3-1.

Despite the setback, San Miguel remains second in Group A and will have extra motivation after Titan Ultra stunned the Beermen, 119-112, in their Commissioner's Cup meeting last March.

Tiger Score lists San Miguel as the heavy favorite with 1.20 moneyline odds, while Titan Ultra enters as the 4.03 underdog.
