Creamline, Farm Fresh Vie for Final Spot in PVL Championship Race
A clash of experience and ambition unfolds as Creamline and Farm Fresh face off on Thursday for the final spot in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Finals.
On paper, the Cool Smashers are the clear favorites, boasting a rich legacy with 10 league titles. Known for their calm under pressure, Creamline thrives in high-stakes matches, where precision and championship pedigree often decide the outcome.
However, Farm Fresh has been making waves by defying the odds.
In just their third year in the league, the Foxies are already making their first Final Four appearance, standing on the verge of a major breakthrough. After a statement win over top-seeded PLDT High Speed Hitters, they now carry not just momentum, but confidence.
“Trust in each other—that’s what brought us here,” said Trisha Tubu, whose crucial points propelled Farm Fresh into this must-win match, scheduled at 4 p.m. at the FilOil Centre.
To add some spice to the matchup, sportsbook has Creamline favored to win either by sweep or in four sets, with a -4.5 point spread and an over/under total of 180.5 points.
Despite the odds, the challenge is far from over for the Foxies.
Creamline’s experience is their sharpest weapon. With a roster of battle-hardened stars like Bernadeth Pons, Jema Galanza, Tots Carlos, Bea de Leon, Pangs Panaga, and Jia De Guzman, the Cool Smashers are a well-oiled machine, capable of staying cool and executing under pressure. Their winning tradition and depth make them formidable opponents, with the added advantage of overwhelming fan support, especially in San Juan’s FilOil Centre.
“It’s going to be tough, with almost the entire crowd cheering for them,” said Farm Fresh coach Koji Tsuzurabara. “But we’re embracing this challenge. We may not be well-known yet, but we hope people will start to see what we’re capable of.”
That underdog spirit has driven Farm Fresh forward. Led by Tubu, along with veterans Ces Molina and Royse Tubino, the Foxies have blended experience with a fearless approach, defying the expectations of more established teams.
Despite their dominance, Creamline has shown they can be rattled. A recent loss to Cignal serves as a reminder that even the champions can be tested.
This sets the stage for a matchup full of intrigue and unpredictability.
Creamline brings the edge—depth, experience, and a championship mindset—while Farm Fresh brings hope, hunger, and a belief in the impossible.
The winner will earn the right to face Cignal in the title round, and the outcome could hinge on one crucial question: when the pressure is at its peak, will the weight of history prevail, or will the underdog’s belief shine through?
The uncertainty of this clash only heightens the excitement. In this space, anything can happen.
Meanwhile, in the other semifinal, PLDT enters as the favorite to defeat the undefeated Cignal Super Spikers. The High Speed Hitters are pegged to win either by sweep or in four sets, with a -1.5 point spread, setting the stage for another close, high-stakes encounter. Cignal will be aiming to keep their perfect record intact as they look to make a run at their first All-Filipino title, while PLDT seeks to redeem themselves after an early exit from the championship chase despite a strong preliminary campaign.
