Veteran hitter Aiza Maizo-Pontillas heads to Galeries
Aiza Maizo-Pontillas has officially joined the Galeries Tower Highrisers for the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2026 season. The veteran opposite hitter was welcomed by the franchise in a social media post on Monday afternoon.
Maizo-Pontillas, 37, is coming from Petro Gazz, where her steady offensive play was instrumental in the team achieving a historic double championship in 2025, winning both the All-Filipino and Reinforced conferences.
Her role with the Highrisers will be to use her extensive experience to strengthen the team's lineup. Galeries Tower has yet to secure a quarterfinals berth since entering the PVL in 2023.
