NXLED aims to maintain its strong start in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference as the Chameleons face the Capital 1 Solar Spikers on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal, with the game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Both teams are seeking a 2-0 record to open the season.

The Chameleons, traditionally a lower-ranked team, began the conference with a five-set victory over the Farm Fresh Foxies. The team, now featuring former Petro Gazz players Brooke Van Sickle, MJ Phillips, and Myla Pablo, hopes to escape the league's bottom positions and compete for a podium finish this season. Van Sickle, a three-time PVL MVP, led the previous win with 20 points and 11 excellent receptions, while Pablo and Phillips contributed 19 and 13 points respectively in their debut for NXLED.

Capital 1 will counter with 2025 overall draft pick Bella Belen, who powered the Solar Spikers to a four-set win over ZUS in their opener. Belen nearly achieved a triple-double with 26 points, 16 excellent digs, and seven excellent receptions. The former National University standout stated her focus is on self-improvement rather than proving herself to others, aiming to surpass her performance each conference. The team also has support from players like Pauline Gaston and Shaya Adorador.

In an earlier match at 4 p.m., the winless Galeries Tower Highrisers and ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles will face off, each seeking their first victory of the conference. Galeries lost in straight sets to Cignal, while ZUS was defeated by Capital 1 in their opening games.
