Tomas Käyhkö Headlines Final Four in Storm Lucky Larsen Masters
The Storm Lucky Larsen Masters, part of the 2026 PBA Tour powered by Go Bowling, is down to its final four competitors. All semifinalists are European: Finland’s Tomas Käyhkö will face England’s Raymond Teece, while Swedes Carl Eklund and Albin Gullstrand battle in the other semifinal. The all-European final will take place at Olympia Bowling in Helsingborg, Sweden, starting at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 31, with all semifinal and championship matches being single games.
Fifty-five players advanced to Sunday’s competition following 27 qualifying rounds. In Final Step 1, a five-game advancer round involving qualifiers ranked 26–55, PBA Tour stars Kyle Troup, EJ Tackett, Jesper Svensson, and Santtu Tahvanainen were among the 15 players who advanced to join the top 25 qualifiers in Final Step 2. Svensson, aiming for his second SLLM title in three years, dominated the 38-foot oil pattern, rolling games of 258, 248, 277, 257, 246, and 246 to post the highest six-game block of the tournament, earning the top seed for match play.
Käyhkö powered to the second seed with closing games of 300, 268, and 278. Other PBA Tour representatives in the bracket included Andrew Anderson, EJ Tackett, Zach Wilkins, Justin Knowles, and Santtu Tahvanainen. Europeans Markus Jansson, Raymond Teece, Carl Eklund, Mathias Otting, Daniel Börner, Teodor Samuelsson, Tomo Gaber Pinteric, Albin Gullstrand, and Anton Andersson also advanced to match play. The first two elimination rounds used three-game total pinfall formats, similar to the USBC Masters. Svensson continued his dominance, dispatching Anton Andersson with a 785–636 victory, setting up the semifinal showdowns.
