On February 28, it was reported that Jayson Tatum has been sidelined for 41 weeks since suffering a right Achilles tendon rupture in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Knicks last May. He has previously practiced with the Celtics’ G-League affiliate, but there is still no clarity on his return.

All attention is currently focused on the Celtics’ home game against the 76ers next Monday. The game was originally scheduled to be played earlier in the day but has now been moved to the prime time slot of 8 PM Eastern Time, sparking speculation that this may signal Tatum’s return plan.

"This doesn’t mean I’m coming back or not coming back; I’m just moving forward as planned," Tatum said. "I feel a little better every day and just focus on that."

In the same interview, Tatum also stated that he is aware he does not want to disrupt the Celtics’ momentum, as the team currently holds a 39-20 record and ranks second in the Eastern Conference.

"I’m very aware of what’s going on on the court, and I think that’s the reason. I know what I can bring, but I also realize these guys have been playing really well lately."
