Tackett's Homecoming, Troup’s Rekindling Headlines PBA Indiana Classic

The PBA Indiana Classic, the fifth title event of the season, will take place at DavidSmall’s ProBowlWest in Fort Wayne, Indiana, marking the second title event in the state this month.

Qualifying rounds are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET from Wednesday through Friday, culminating in the live stepladder finals on Sunday, March 22, at 4 p.m.

Local interest centers on EJ Tackett from nearby Bluffton, who, despite a recent 12th-place finish at the U.S. Open, had a strong record of top-four finishes in his home state prior to this season and is still seeking his first title this year.

Recent performances include PatrickDombrowski, who won the U.S Open in Indianapolis less than two weeks ago but followed it with a 23rd-place finish in Illinois, and Kyle Troup, who won the last non-major title event in Indiana in 2024 and is looking to end a two-year title drought with a return to the state.

All players will bowl 24 qualifying games from Wednesday to Thursday on the 39-foot Mike Aulby oil pattern, named in honor of the Indiana legend. The top 32 will advance to Friday morning's first Advancers Round, where six more games will reduce the field to the top 16 for the final Advancers Round on Friday night.
