SGA Strengthens Roster with Four Star Signings and Assistant Coach Appointment; Its Two Teams Reshape PVL Competitive Landscape

Ahead of the 2026 PVL season, Strong Group Athletics (SGA) has upgraded its roster in a blockbuster move, signing Imee Hernandez, Royse Tubino, veteran playmaker Chi Saet and lockdown defender Bia General, while appointing Remy Palma as an assistant playing coach to further enhance the team's depth and coaching staff strength.

The highlight of this signing drive is Imee Hernandez, the former University of Santo Tomas standout and Chery Tiggo Crossovers middle blocker. Her offensive power and defensive presence at the net will bring key competitiveness to the team. SGA’s two affiliated teams, the Farm Fresh Foxies and ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, have been on a remarkable upward trajectory in recent years. ZUS, which entered the league just two years ago, made a huge breakthrough in 2025 by reaching the Reinforced Conference finals, where they narrowly lost to the PLDT High Speed Hitters. The Farm Fresh Foxies, who debuted in 2023, have also climbed the standings steadily. Now, these two teams have formed a "Big Four" rivalry alongside Creamline and Choco Mucho, completely reshaping the competitive landscape of the Philippine professional volleyball league.
