SGA Returns After 9-Game Absence, Thunder Edge Nuggets 127-121 in OT

On February 28, the Oklahoma City Thunder reversed and defeated the Denver Nuggets 127-121 in overtime at home. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned to the court in this game after missing 9 consecutive games, contributing 36 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks throughout the game.

"It feels great to be back," Alexander said after the game. "I’m so happy to be back on the court with my teammates. The past few weeks of missing games have been tough, but my family supported me and my teammates stood by me. I’m very grateful to return to the court."

Alexander, who was limited in playing time, did not play in overtime, but the shorthanded Thunder still defended their home court and defeated the Nuggets. Regarding this, Alexander said: "No matter who is absent or who is on the court, we can always find a way to win. We have been shorthanded all season, but we have been constantly looking for ways to win."
