Reyes to coach Fajardo, Austria to handle Aguilar in 2026 PBA All-Star Game
The 2026 PBA All-Star Game in Candon City, Ilocos Sur is set for March 6-8, with the North vs. South match as the main event. The team compositions for the head coaches were determined by a draw conducted by Candon City mayor Eric Singson. San Miguel coach Leo Austria will lead the North team, featuring Japeth Aguilar, Stephen Holt, Calvin Abueva, Cjay Perez, and Juan Gomez de Liaño. TNT coach Chot Reyes will guide the South team, which includes June Mar Fajardo, RJ Abarrientos, Scottie Thompson, Calvin Oftana, and Robert Bolick.
The starters for both All-Star teams were selected through fan voting online and at game venues. June Mar Fajardo received the most overall votes with 33,360, followed by Japeth Aguilar with 24,104. However, Calvin Abueva received the highest number of votes specifically from Candon City. The remaining players for the team benches will be chosen by the coaches, Leo Austria and Chot Reyes, along with the other PBA coaches.
In the Rookie/Sophomores vs. Juniors game, RJ Abarrientos led the voting with 42,862 votes, followed by Adrian Nocum with 38,710. Abarrientos will be joined by players including Justine Baltazar, Juan Gomez de Liaño, and Sedrick Barefield. Nocum's Juniors squad will feature Ricci Rivero, Stephen Holt, and Zavier Lucero, among others.
