The Akari Chargers are entering the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference with heightened expectations, aiming to convert their history of consistent podium finishes into an actual championship title. The team is no longer seen as a newcomer but as an established upper-tier contender that must now overcome the pressure of achieving a breakthrough victory.
In the 2025 season, the Chargers demonstrated remarkable consistency by securing a 3rd place finish in both the All-Filipino and Reinforced Conferences, although they placed 8th in the PVL On Tour. Their frequent presence in semifinal discussions solidified their reputation as a competitive and dangerous team capable of challenging any opponent.
During the offseason, Akari focused on targeted roster adjustments rather than a complete overhaul. Key additions include players Cza Carandang, Jyne Soreno, and Judith Abil, while the team bid farewell to Erika Raagas, Ezra Madrigal, and Cam Victoria. These strategic moves are intended to strengthen the squad for their title pursuit.
