Michele Gumabao of the Creamline Cool Smashers has announced that the team is no longer dwelling on their status as defending champions and is fully focused on their playoff push in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference. She emphasized that the team has set aside past achievements to approach each match with respect and urgency, treating every opponent equally and striving to give their best performance on the court.

Gumabao highlighted that the Cool Smashers' biggest challenge has often been themselves, requiring them to work harder and play smarter than other teams to maintain energy and composure throughout games. Despite their championship experience, they adopt a mindset of chasing the crown rather than resting on their laurels, as evidenced by their recent four-set victory over Nxled where Gumabao contributed 13 points.

Currently holding a 4-2 record and the second-best standing in the conference, Creamline has faced an uneven campaign but remains competitive. Gumabao stressed that the team's success depends on collective effort, with players contributing beyond their positions through strong connection, communication, and maturity, ensuring teamwork is central to their strategy.
