Kyla Atienza expressed gratitude for the support of her Creamline Cool Smashers teammates after making a successful return from a ligament injury, contributing to the team's fourth consecutive victory in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Atienza admitted to feeling nervous initially upon her comeback during the Cool Smashers' 25-14, 17-25, 25-18, 25-23 win over the Galeries Tower Highrisers, crediting her coaches and teammates for helping her settle back into form.

The former Best Libero had been sidelined since late last year after suffering a ligament tear in her left elbow during the previous conference. The injury required extended rest but did not necessitate surgery.

During her absence, Creamline relied on its defensive depth with players like Jen Nierva and Denden Lazaro-Revilla stepping up. Atienza stated this strong support system allowed her to focus fully on a proper recovery without rushing.

In her return match, Atienza made an immediate impact with 11 excellent digs, helping stabilize the team's floor defense. The Cool Smashers' next match is a crucial encounter against the Nxled Chameleons on March 7.
