PVL: Creamline breaks through in 2026 All-Filipino at expense of Choco Mucho
Creamline secured its first win in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference by defeating sister team Choco Mucho in four sets (27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15) at the Mall of Asia Arena. After an opening loss to PLDT, the Cool Smashers improved to a 1-1 record, while the Flying Titans dropped to 1-2.
The pivotal fourth set saw Creamline open with a 5-1 run. Choco Mucho suffered a significant setback when Eya Laure left the court injured at 9-5. Bernadeth Pons and Bea de Leon helped extend Creamline's lead to 20-11. Despite a brief rally from Choco Mucho, Creamline closed the set decisively with a 3-0 run, capped by a final kill from Tots Carlos to seal the match.
In the earlier game, Cignal took sole lead in the standings after a hard-fought victory over Farm Fresh (25-17, 26-24, 20-25, 30-28). Cignal faced set point in the fourth frame at 22-24 but rallied with a 3-0 run to force an extended set. Farm Fresh's Trisha Tubu saved two match points to tie at 28-28, but consecutive errors by the Foxies allowed Cignal to secure the win, improving to 3-0 while Farm Fresh fell to 0-2.
