PLDT's Savi Davison is first PVL Player of the Week for 2026
Savi Davison of PLDT has been named the PVL Press Corps Player of the Week for January 31 to February 7, presented by Pilipinas Live. This recognition follows her outstanding opening performance in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Davison led the PLDT High Speed Hitters to a stunning straight-set victory (25-22, 25-17, 25-23) over the formidable Creamline Cool Smashers. She achieved a monster triple-double, scoring 26 points from 23 kills and 3 blocks, while also contributing 11 digs and 10 excellent receptions.
Despite facing a full-strength Creamline team featuring returning stars, Davison stated her team focused on patience and maintaining composure. She acknowledged the intimidating challenge but expressed happiness with the composed victory.
Davison earned the weekly honor over several other top performers, including Capital1's Bella Belen, who also scored 26 points. PLDT aims to continue its winning streak in its next match against Capital1 on Thursday.
