Petro Gazz, PLDT claim spotlight after ruling PVL 2025 season
The 2025 PVL season marked a shift from single-team dominance to a shared rise, with the Petro Gazz Angels and PLDT High Speed Hitters each winning two championships and reshaping the league's competitive landscape.
PLDT High Speed Hitters broke through by sweeping the PVL On Tour for their first franchise title, validating years of roster building. Led by Savi Davison and supported by a healthy core including Kianna Dy, Mika Reyes, and Kim Fajardo, the team then went unbeaten in the PVL Invitational to secure back-to-back championships. Libero and team captain Kath Arado made history by becoming the first libero to win a PVL Finals MVP.
Meanwhile, the Petro Gazz Angels demonstrated their own championship consistency across different tournament formats during the 2025 season.
