The game began with San Miguel establishing a dominant 12-0 start, extending their lead to 21 points at 26-5. They entered halftime with a 49-39 advantage. TNT mounted a comeback in the third quarter, briefly taking a 68-66 lead. However, San Miguel responded with a decisive 12-0 run that carried into the fourth quarter, rebuilding a 78-68 lead. After TNT narrowed the gap to 78-73, San Miguel closed the game strongly, outscoring TNT 22-9 in the final quarter to seal the win.

June Mar Fajardo led San Miguel with a dominant performance of 29 points, 23 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block, earning him the Finals Most Valuable Player award and the inaugural Ramon Fernandez Trophy. CJ Perez contributed 19 points and seven assists, while Rodney Brondial added a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. For TNT, Calvin Oftana scored 28 points, with Jordan Heading and Poy Erram adding 14 and 11 points respectively.

Coach Leo Austria attributed the victory to the players' determination to avoid a Game 7, praising their character. San Miguel's path to the title included finishing the elimination round with a 9-2 record, defeating NLEX in the quarterfinals, and overcoming Barangay Ginebra in a six-game semifinal series. The finals saw TNT win Game 1, but San Miguel took control with consecutive wins. After TNT's victory in Game 4, San Miguel secured wins in Games 5 and 6 to claim the championship.
