PBA: Converge ace Mikey Williams weighs in on four-point line
Mikey Williams returned to the PBA after nearly three years, making his debut for Converge in their Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup opener against Macau. However, his playing time was limited, as he only entered the game in the fourth quarter of Converge's 102-94 victory.
During his 12 minutes on the court, Williams attempted one shot from the newly introduced four-point line but did not score, finishing with zero points, two rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Despite the quiet statistical return, he expressed no disappointment and was enthusiastic about being back.
Williams shared his excitement about the PBA's four-point line, calling it a "great addition" and stating he looks forward to using it when the opportunity arises. He mentioned that he practices the four-point shot daily, aiming to incorporate it into his offensive arsenal.
Reflecting on his return, Williams emphasized how much he missed playing in the PBA, the fans, and the overall basketball culture. The two-time champion and Finals MVP is focused on regaining his form and contributing to his new team with his expanded shooting range.
