The Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters have officially appointed Charles Tiu as their new head coach, marking his first head coaching role in the PBA. The 37-year-old will lead the team's preparations for the upcoming Season 50 Commissioner's Cup.

Tiu brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as an assistant coach for multiple PBA franchises and elite programs. His coaching background includes success in the PBA D-League, where he led Go For Gold to a championship in 2018, and international experience with teams like Mighty Sports and Strong Group Athletics in tournaments such as the William Jones Cup. He has also coached at the collegiate level, taking College of Saint Benilde to the NCAA Finals.

He takes over from Willy Wilson, whose contract was not renewed after the Fuel Masters posted a 3-8 record in the previous Philippine Cup. Tiu will now guide a roster featuring players like Jason Perkins, Ricci Rivero, and Tyler Tio as the team aims for a new direction in the league's 50th season.
