NBA Suspends Dennis Schroder 3 Games for Attempted Strike on Lakers' Luka Doncic
During a December 28, 2025 game, Sacramento Kings guard Dennis Schroder was relentlessly taunted by Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic. Doncic mocked Schroder for famously missing out on an $84 million contract extension four years prior, reportedly calling him a "b*tch" and repeatedly saying, "You should've signed that contract."
Following the Lakers' 125-101 victory, Schroder confronted Doncic in a hallway outside the locker room at Crypto.com Arena. Reports state that Schroder threatened to "beat the s**t out of him" and swung at the Serbian player in an attempt to strike him.
The NBA responded by suspending Dennis Schroder for three games for "confronting and attempting to strike another player." This suspension will cause him to miss games against Houston, the Lakers, and New York, resulting in a nearly $300,000 loss in salary.
Schroder appeared to mock the league's decision on social media, reposting the suspension announcement and highlighting the word "attempting" in his response.
