James earned his 22nd consecutive All-Star selection despite a down year, averaging 21.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.6 assists for the Lakers.

Teams with multiple All-Stars include the Lakers, Knicks, Thunder, Pistons, and Nuggets. Notable players who did not make the team include Michael Porter Jr., Kawhi Leonard, Bam Adebayo, Joel Embiid, Julius Randle, Lauri Markkanen, Brandon Ingram, and Alperen Sengun, who are top candidates to be injury replacements.

Due to the All-Star Game's USA vs. World format, at least eight international players are required. With starter Giannis Antetokounmpo injured, the league must decide if Towns (Dominican Republic) and Powell (Jamaica) will be considered international or American players for roster purposes. An injury replacement for the Eastern Conference will be needed. The official roster breakdowns will be announced on Tuesday.
