Mitchell lauds Harden! A Hall of Famer addition—what game-changing shift is coming for the Cavs?
On February 5th, the Cleveland Cavaliers secured a resounding 124-91 road victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. Donovan Mitchell delivered an efficient performance with 29 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 steals, boasting a team-high +24 plus-minus and leading the Cavaliers to their second consecutive win.
"Our entire team is pulling together to do what we need to do. It's tough, especially with the trade happening right now, but that's part of the game," Mitchell stated post-game. "We gave it our all, and that fully reflects our professionalism."
The two teams had just completed a swap deal involving James Harden and Darius Garland, yet neither player made their debut for their new teams in this contest.
When discussing Harden's arrival, Mitchell commented, "Harden is a Hall of Fame-caliber player. Most importantly, he can make the game easier for every one of us. I think our big men will benefit greatly from this—both Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley will get more open scoring opportunities, which will also help other teammates play more smoothly and efficiently."
"We need to understand that although we will inevitably face difficulties during the integration period, we must keep doing our own thing," Mitchell added.
