Marcus Lee joins San Miguel; Kylor Kelley gives Converge size in PBA Commissioner’s Cup
Marcus Lee and Kylor Kelley have been confirmed as imports for the upcoming PBA Season 50 Commissioner's Cup, nearly finalizing the tournament's foreign player roster.
Marcus Lee will reinforce the San Miguel Beermen. The 6-foot-11 former University of Kentucky and University of California player joins the team, which is aiming for back-to-back championships after winning the Philippine Cup against TNT. After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, the 31-year-old Lee played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the G League and most recently for the Cairns Taipans in Australia's NBL.
Kylor Kelley will bolster the Converge FiberXers' frontline, joining new acquisition Calvin Abueva and key players Justine Baltazar and Justin Arana. The 7-foot center last played for the South Bay Lakers in the G League. He signed with the Dallas Mavericks in early 2025 but was waived after nearly two months, following a stint with the New Orleans Pelicans earlier that season before continuing his career overseas.
The Commissioner's Cup is scheduled to begin on March 11. The defending champions, TNT Tropang Giga, will feature former Denver Nuggets center Bol Bol as their import.
