Lakers Edge Clippers 125-122 in Thriller as Leonard Exits Late
On February 21, in an NBA regular-season game, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Lakers got off to a hot start and led by as many as 16 points. The Clippers erupted with a 21-4 run in the third quarter to take the lead. Kawhi Leonard exited the game in the fourth quarter due to ankle soreness, and Bennedict Mathurin fouled out with six fouls.
In the final moments, Luka Dončić made two free throws to put his team ahead by 5 points, and Quentin Grimes Miller converted both free throws. LeBron James turned over the ball on an inbounds pass, but Nicolas Batum missed the game-tying three-pointer. The Lakers edged the Clippers 125-122.
