Kings confirm Murray sidelined for Mavs clash with ankle sprain
Kings confirm Keegan Murray out of Mavs clash with left ankle sprain; forward limited to 19 games this season by injuries
On January 6, the Sacramento Kings officially announced that forward Keegan Murray has suffered a left ankle sprain and will miss the team’s home game against the Dallas Mavericks on January 7.
The 25-year-old forward sustained the injury during Sacramento’s 98-115 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on January 5, when he accidentally stepped on the foot of Bucks center Myles Turner and had to leave the game early with ankle discomfort.
It is worth noting that Murray has been plagued by injuries throughout this season, featuring in just 19 games and averaging 14.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. He has missed a total of 17 games so far, 15 of which were due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb.
