February 13 – According to Jeremy Sochan’s agent, the free-agent forward, recently waived by the San Antonio Spurs, plans to sign with the New York Knicks once he clears waivers.

Earlier today, Sochan posted a farewell message to the Spurs on his social media:

“To the city of San Antonio… I never expected this place to become my home so quickly when I was drafted. I’ve moved around my whole life, and this has been the longest I’ve stayed in one place since I was 15. It’s been a journey with ups and downs, learning a lot, growing, and always staying true to myself. The city and the fans embraced me from day one! This goes beyond basketball, and I’m forever grateful. My love for San Antonio will always be here. Everything happens for a reason, and time will tell.”

This season, Sochan appeared in 28 games for the Spurs, averaging 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.

For his career, he has played 212 NBA games, holding career averages of 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
