Jared Dillinger has officially announced his retirement from professional basketball after a 17-year career. He confirmed the news in a statement to One Sports, following a social media post on January 17th where he expressed deep gratitude to the sport, writing, "Thank you for everything, basketball. You saved my life."

Dillinger was the second overall pick in the 2008 PBA Draft by Talk 'N Text, right after his close friend Gabe Norwood. Known for his fearless "Daredevil" playing style, he won nine PBA championships throughout his career. He first made his name with TNT, winning five titles, before later stints with Meralco and finally Barangay Ginebra, where he won four more championships and finished his playing contract.

With his basketball career concluded, Dillinger stated he can now focus on other ventures, including co-hosting the popular podcast "Let It Fly" with fellow retiree Gabe Norwood.
