IVY Lacsina bags PVL POW honors

Ivy Lacsina led the Akari Chargers to two crucial victories, breaking the team's winless start and saving their 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign. She delivered consistent performances on both offense and defense, anchoring the team's breakthrough week with a pair of 20-point outings.

For her pivotal role in ending the Chargers' slump, Lacsina was unanimously named the PVL Press Corps Player of the Week for February 24-28. She earned the weekly honor over a competitive field that included notable players from other teams.

Her standout performances included a 20-point, 10-reception double-double in a four-set victory over the Nxled Chameleons, followed by another 20-point game featuring 16 kills, three blocks, and an ace in a gripping five-set thriller against the Cignal Super Spikers.

Lacsina credited her teammates and coaches for the victories, stating she fought hard to not waste their collective effort. Despite her individual success, she emphasized the importance of shared leadership within the team alongside veteran player Grethcel Soltones.
