Ishie Lalongisip, Cignal look to keep top spot in PVL All-Filipino vs Akari

The Cignal Super Spikers, currently leading the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference standings with a 4-1 record, aim to solidify their top position in a match against the Akari Chargers on Saturday, February 28, at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.

After having a three-game winning streak ended by the Nxled Chameleons, Cignal rebounded with a significant victory over the previously undefeated PLDT High Speed Hitters. The team's success is attributed to a consistent system built on structure and discipline.

Key to Cignal's system is the offensive tandem of Erika Santos and Vanie Gandler, who combined for 31 points in the win over PLDT. The team also benefits from balanced contributions across the lineup, with players like Ishie Lalongisip and Tin Tiamzon providing reliable support and rotation stability. Lalongisip was particularly crucial against PLDT, contributing seven points and nine excellent receptions.

Setter Gel Cayuna continues to orchestrate the offense, while Roselyn Doria-Aquino and Jackie Acuña bolster the team's defensive structure.
