Galeries Tower continues PVL retool with Samonte, Pascual, Puzon, Mangulabnan
The Galeries Tower Highrisers have announced the signing of four new players—spikers Jules Samonte and Gayle Pascual, along with setters Venice Puzon and Maji Mangulabnan—as part of their ongoing roster rebuild ahead of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference. This brings their total to 14 new signings following a major roster reset.
Jules Samonte joins from the now-defunct Chery Tiggo Crossovers, adding scoring versatility to the wing rotation. While the 27-year-old has dealt with injuries in recent seasons, she is regarded as a dynamic offensive threat when healthy.
Gayle Pascual, a former standout from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde and a two-time NCAA Best Opposite Hitter and Finals MVP, arrives from the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles. She brings proven finishing ability, though she has also faced injury interruptions during her PVL career.
Venice Puzon, a back-to-back NCAA Best Setter from Seasons 97 and 98, led the Lyceum Lady Pirates to their first NCAA women’s volleyball Finals appearance. Maji Mangulabnan, previously with the Nxled Chameleons, adds depth and flexibility to the setter rotation.
These four players join other recent additions, including Aiza Maizo Pontillas, Shola Alvarez, Erika Raagas, Cams Victoria, Lycha Ebon, and Erika Deloria, under new head coach Aying Esteban. The 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference is scheduled to begin on January 31.
