Lyann De Guzman Names Her Volleyball Idols in the PVL

Lyann De Guzman, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft, has shared the professional players she looks up to as she establishes herself in the league. She expressed admiration for their intelligent and impactful style of play rather than relying solely on raw power.

Among her idols is Creamline superstar Alyssa Valdez, whom De Guzman admires for her versatility and ability to influence the game in multiple ways, setting a benchmark in Philippine volleyball.

She also highlighted her Nxled Chameleons teammates—Brooke Van Sickle, Myla Pablo, and MJ Phillips—crediting them for significantly elevating the team into title contention in the ongoing All-Filipino Conference.
