Faith Nisperos set to return for Akari in PVL All-Filipino after injury layoff

Faith Nisperos is set to return to play for the Akari Chargers in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference after recovering from a lengthy knee injury. She expressed her excitement about suiting up again, acknowledging the physical and mental challenges of being sidelined during the team's previous campaigns.

Nisperos credited her teammates for their crucial support during her rehabilitation, stating their encouragement helped her through the difficult process. While watching games from the sidelines tested her patience, she found the experience productive, gaining a new perspective and learning a lot about the sport.

Rather than dwelling on frustration, she treated the injury period as a learning phase. Now cleared to play, Nisperos says the layoff has given her extra motivation to apply her newfound insights on the court. Her anticipated return is scheduled for Akari's opening match against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on January 31.
