Davison named PVL Player of the Week
Savannah Davison delivered a dominant performance to lead the PLDT High Speed Hitters to a stunning straight-set victory (25-22, 25-17, 25-23) over the ten-time champion Creamline Cool Smashers in their opening match of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Davison recorded a monster triple-double, scoring 26 points from 23 kills and 3 blocks, while also contributing 11 digs and 10 excellent receptions. Her efforts were instrumental in securing the statement win for PLDT against a formidable Creamline lineup that featured the returns of Jia de Guzman, Bernadeth Pons, and Jema Galanza.
For her outstanding opening-week performance, Davison was named the PVL Press Corps Player of the Week for January 31 to February 7. She acknowledged the intimidating challenge posed by the full-strength Creamline team but credited her squad's composure and focus for the victory.
Davison edged out several other notable performers for the weekly honor, including Capital1's Bella Belen, Brooke Van Sickle, and Myla Pablo of Nxled, among others.
