The Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference's early focus shifts to the highly anticipated season debuts of the championship-caliber teams Creamline and PLDT. Their first match against each other is set for 6:30 p.m. at the FilOil Playtime Centre and is viewed as a major early test amidst strong starts from other teams like Cignal and Choco Mucho.

Creamline, aiming to bounce back from a title-less previous season, fields a powerful roster. Key players include setter Jia de Guzman, scorers Bernadette Pons and Jema Galanza, alongside Tots Carlos, Alyssa Valdez, and new libero Jen Nierva, making them a formidable contender.

PLDT, coached by Rald Ricafort, presents a significant challenge. The team, confident after recent tournament wins, features a deep and experienced lineup led by Savi Davison, Kim Dy, and a core of veterans including Mika Reyes, Majoy Baron, and Kim Fajardo.

The match carries high stakes beyond an early victory, impacting team momentum and psychology in a tournament with a revamped format. The new system rewards the elimination round's top team with an outright semifinal berth, while other top teams face knockout matches, and lower-ranked teams enter a new Play-In Stepladder for a second chance.

Prior to this main event, at 4 p.m., Choco Mucho (led by Sisi Rondina and Eya Laure) and Cignal (led by Vanie Gandler and Erika Santos) will face off, both seeking to build on their straight-set opening victories.
