Bella Belen finds Capital1 scoring gap 'concerning' as 'volleyball is team effort'
Bella Belen scored 26 points for Capital1 in their PVL All-Filipino Conference match against Creamline, but her effort was not enough as her team lost in straight sets (18-25, 24-26, 20-25). Belen was the only Capital1 player to reach double figures, with the next highest scorer, Ypril Tapia, managing only four points.
Following the match, Belen addressed the significant scoring gap within the team, stating the issue had been discussed internally. She emphasized that volleyball is a team effort and that a team cannot win when the offensive load is carried by just one player.
The statistics highlighted the lack of support for Belen, as other Capital1 players struggled offensively. Leila Cruz and Sydney Niegos each scored three points, while Ysa Jimenez, Ezra Madrigal, France Ronquillo, and Cherry Nunag contributed only two points apiece.
